They were the best price and UNBELIEVABLE professional installers. Corrugated roof with few beams not a scratch. Now I have a excellent solar system. Also the receptionists are so on the ball you can rely on their help. After installation help is prompt and extremely helpful. I am very happy with this group in Darwin.

SEM Darwin Saved our Home and our Sanity Few households have solar panels installed twice and therefore have no way of comparing solar companies. In 2020 we were misled by recommendations by “Cash for Recommendations Web Site”, colour brochures and slick sales talk to purchase a PV system from a company claiming to be one of Australia’s largest roof top solar panel installers. Needless to say, it went bad. The job was subcontracted to an inferior company with sub-standard workmanship, resulting in damage to the roof, multiple leaks and non-compliant electrical installation and their defiance to make reparation. SEM Darwin came to our rescue. An engineer, a roofer and an electrician inspected the roof. They formulated a work schedule. From then on, the team of roofers, plumber, electrician and engineer worked smoothly and seamlessly. The PV panels were removed and stored, the roof sheeting was removed section by section, inspected by the engineer before new insulation and sheeting attached. Safety was paramount with harnesses and scissor lift used throughout the days. The solar hot water heater was relocated during reroofing and then reattached. The job progressed like a work of art with each person taking pride in what they were doing. They were satisfied only when the job was perfect. The workers were most professional in their presentation with clean uniforms, punctuality, text messages providing times of arrival and asking if we had any questions about the installation and its progress. The non-compliant conduits from the previous company were redirected to concealed spaces with external conduits covered by flashing matching the rest of the house. The quality of the finished job was first class with the roof and panels cleaned and helpful tips given on maintaining the power output from the panels. If you are thinking of getting solar PV panels installed, do your homework, get quotes but make sure you speak to SEM Darwin.
