Adam Harris, we are in Two Wells, South Australia, and it's a nice rural community. We've lived here for about 30 years, at this property only 14 years, but we've been here for quite a long time. We're looking at about $2,500 to $3,000 a quarter for our bills, and so we really needed to do something with that. Father with two kids, a wife, two teenagers, they draw a lot of power. We use the air conditioner a fair bit, the heater in winter. We've got a spa that we run all the time, outdoor heaters, that sort of thing. Originally, we had a 1.5kW system installed 10 years ago. It was quite pricey back then and really didn't give us any relief on our bill, so we've decided to go with a bigger system and a better quality system rather than just a cheaper brand. So yeah, the first one just didn't fit our needs by a long shot, and I think technology has changed since then quite a lot. Just over 30.5kW, so I'm assuming, We'd probably, on a good day, get up around 80kW. We're hoping to save the majority of our bill and put that straight into our mortgage. So we're saving a lot of money on that.
How can a high quality solar system help a growing family pay off the mortgage quicker?
