- Well, I've got three car washes. We've got some big three-phase cat pumps inside there. And the biggest energy user is when they kick into gear, and they really suck the juice. Yeah it's a big, big drain, on the electricity out of the grid. And car washing goes hand in hand with a summers, or a sunny day, and the sun and PV go hand-in-hand. So sunny day, a lot of car washes and a lot of PV getting used.

- Ken's got a long-term view of his business. It's not just about what he can save today or next week, it's a long-term over decades. If you spend less money, you're getting a substandard product. You spend more money, a little bit more money, and you're going to get a lot more in return.

- So he wanted a quality system with excellent backup and performance, that he could rely on for the next couple of decades at least to come.

- You don't have solar on your roof. Well, to me, you're not serious about maximising profit.

- When we're pricing up a solar system for a client we're taking into account their usage we're then designing a system based on on what they need, then what we can fit on their roof of their home, and then where their budget sits as well.

- G-store did the install on the house, that was the last install we had done, after the car washes. And I thought well in for a penny in for a pound. And we went with batteries at home, and that is a plus as well, because when the sun's out you're making electricity. When it's not, well, you can use what you've stored in your batteries. Which is great, especially when you're running peak power times you know, it does add up.

- Yeah, so, the LG NeON black is our aesthetic option because he had an ideal roof area facing kind of Northwest on the front of the house. It was decided to use the NeON black panels there.

- Yeah, we used LG panels and we went for the LG. Same as the commercial LG, they've got the backing. They've been in the industry for a long time.

- So Ken's system has been going for a few months now, and in May, he was 91% energy independent. Which is fantastic for that time of year, it's only going to get better as he gets into the warmer months.

- Yeah, G-store, they are approved to sell the LG panels. And we know that we can just ring up G-Store and say, oh look, if we have a problem that they're going to basically drop everything and come and sort it out.

- In Warragul, you know, we're not only selling residential and commercial solar, it's farmers, it's rural properties, acreage.

- So the Spargo's have a spud farm, and dairy operations as well. They were looking to get more efficient in their operations, obviously to be more competitive and make savings. We looked at quite a few things on their jobs, and one in particular was a ground mount system, that was used to offset the running costs of some fairly significant pumping costs.

- And they want to have it, put a system on that they know they don't have to worry about, moving forward into the future. Sustainability is the main thing that we're looking at. So having high-performance solar system helps to generate more power and keep generating power, for many many decades, with the quality product that has a long warranty and superior backup from the manufacturers.
