So we've really got two types of customer. A first customer is one who's really conscious about their power bill and they want to get their power bill down, and we can really take a big chunk out of that power bill. We can reduce 70, 80, 90% of their power bill. And then the other customer is the environmentally conscious customer that really wants to reduce their carbon footprint and help the earth. Reducing the power bill, obviously that's a major contributor to the desires of solar, and now we've got batteries on board. We can really do that because we can capitalise on all of the energy that's being generated by storing it in a battery.
We've now got other technologies that we put into the solar system, where we can divert that energy straight into something like a hot water tank or a swimming pool heat pump, or a pool pump, or an air conditioner even. Gas is becoming a thing of the past. We're now recommending people put an electric hot water tank in instead of a gas hot water system. We're now heating swimming pools with electricity rather than gas, because we can now control the costs and the energy that goes into it. The problem with gas is we're stuck with a company that's going to dictate how much you're paying for your energy. With the sun, that energy is yours and once you put those solar panels on, it's costing you nothing. So as time moves on, we're now recommending to people to keep away from gas, where we were putting electric appliances in like electric hot water, we're heating swimming pools with electric heat pumps.
We're now driving cars that use it electricity. So you want to be setting at home up correctly now, you know, in three years, five years, maybe 10 years, you're going to have an electric car. There's going to be other electric appliances that we don't even know of yet. So you want to make sure that you're ready for that. And the right solar system now is going to be able to cater for that later.
What are some of the different ways solar power can be used to decrease your energy costs?
