Yes we initially did have a system put in about several years ago. Just a small system it was 1.5 kilowatts, but it was a start for us. So, yes. Yeah, it was about $3,000 for the system at that time. The new panels are probably twice the power of the old panels, and only maybe marginally 50% bigger. So we'd get a greater output from the same size space we've got on the house. They're probably twice the efficient and we're getting more power out of the sun. So we had the old panels sided to a less efficient part of the house, the roof. And then, so we've got the new panels on the more efficient part of the roof, and fantastic. So we've got combination of the old and the new and it's working tremendously.
We decided to spend more on our panels this time because we wanted something that we could trust. We wanted something that was reliable, and yes, we decided that we just wanted quality panels. That's as well as the brand name it's also the performance as well. So we just wanted to have quality product. Since we've had new panels installed and the power wall, we've been 100% self-sufficient energy-wise. That's all worked tremendously, it's been seamless. You know, if the power goes out in the street, we can see the powers go out in the street. We don't even notice it at home. It just completely kicks in.
