Yes it pays to have a quality installer to carry out your installation in your home. It's all well and good to use great quality product. But if you have a great quality product installed very poorly, then you'll end up with a poor result. You could have really crappy product installed by a great quality installer, and you'll have a poor result. So they come hand in hand, quality product, quality installation, quality result, satisfied customer.
What could go wrong with choosing the wrong installer? The list is the limitless. Your system could stop working, that's a pretty standard and obvious one. Your system will catch fire. Your system will fail within the warranty period. The installer has gone and taken the money and moved on to the next thing and the manufacturer will be gone, and they've moved on to the next thing. So ultimately you are the one left holding the bag. The biggest problem that we find in the industry, cowboys. So whether it's cowboy salespeople, whether it's cowboy installers, whether it's cowboy manufacturers that are just here one minute gone the next, it's a huge problem.
There's a lot of systems that have been installed over the time, over the years that have been left orphaned. And what we mean by orphaned is the manufacturer has gone up and left. They were making poor product that didn't stand behind their product. And it's a lot easier to just walk away than it is to try to warrant any of their problems and actually getting it rectified and deal with it. Same as installers, a lot of poor quality installations were carried out, so they're just moving on, or they'll just reset themselves up as another name and then just started all over again. And then two years later started up as another name, and there's no real consequences of doing that.
So dealing with somebody that's been around for a long time, that has got a proven record that has got pride in place with the quality that they do that does work and live locally and deliver their services locally. You've got better chances of having a quality outcome from that than just going for the cheapest, let's just get the nastiest thing going on in there. No one's ever going to win by doing that. No one's ever walked away happy saying, I got the cheapest and it's amazing.
