- Goodhouse really came to exist because of the perceived lack in our market for sustainable architecture that was affordable.
- [Mark] Goodhouse13 has got about a 6.6 kilowatt system with a 5 kilowatt inverter and it's got a 10 kilowatt battery. The evidence is showing already that the energy consumption will be well and truly met by the power generated on site.
- [Mark] We use Sunny Energy for all of our Goodhouses now. We work directly with Matthew at the design phase.
- They work on designing sustainable houses which integrate solar energy-efficient air conditioning, and passive cooling and heating. We've worked in with Mark on these projects to come up with a solution that's going to bring as close to a zero carbon emission house as possible.
- [Mark] It's such a changing market. What we've found in this area is that it's really important to have an expert on the team, and so, Matthew is essentially that. It's very clear that Matthew is up with all of the latest technologies and knows his stuff, so he can talk confidently about all the systems that I require.
- [Matthew] Goodhouse has been using the LG panels because of the reputation that the LG product has in the market. When we put these LG panels in, they'll be on the roof for 25 years and producing good power for that period.
- I always tell our clients that there will be cheaper systems out there. You will open the newspaper and you will see cheaper systems. But we're actually designing and delivering something for the long term, something that will last, and something that will continue to work into the years.
- You really need to think about the quality of the panels and the inverter that you're putting in, and the quality of the insulation because as a package, it's a long term investment.
- [Mark] I think with anything in the building industry what you want, or the people you want on your team are people who are motivated, that know their stuff, and they're ethical. So, I think Sunny Energy certainly has those three things. I've always found Matthew to be excellent to deal with. He's always the same, he always answers the phone, and they're the things that are really, really important to a company like ours. We want the trade to answer the phone, answer our questions, and get on well with clients and Matthew does all of those things very well.
