Yeah picking the difference between a great installation and a poor installation can be quite difficult. It's not like purchasing a car where you know the brand that you're going to go down and pick. You know a Toyota, you know of a Kia. You know the differences between what you can afford. With the solar industry, even my mates, I say, what's a brand of solar? They've got no idea. Having a company which is a known brand with big warranties, and having a local company, gives you assurance. When it comes to the actual panels, most of the panels that you're going to be looking at you've never heard of before. I think it's because cause solar is still relatively new, so it's quite difficult to know, okay, what's a good panel and what's a bad panel.
When you're out there trying to pick between all these companies, I suggest having a look at the company who's going to be putting the products in for you. Do a quick ABN search, see how long the company has actually been in business for. They may have only just started 12 months ago. Have a look into the company that's going to to be putting in your investment. It's an investment that's going to be lasting a long time. So do a little bit of due diligence and research who the company's going to be.
What research should you do before selecting a solar power system or solar installer?
