So homeowners are looking to partner with a reputable company that does an excellent installation, is going to be there in the longterm if ever required, and is going to be putting in good quality products and providing backup customer support. We find with our customers, and that's the customers that we deal with, they are discerning customers. They understand the benefits and the value proposition of good quality systems, as opposed to what we call crap solar. There is unfortunately, a lot of that in the industry. And many cowboys are putting in solar that is not really suitable for the Australian conditions, or they're putting it in and then they're not there to deal with any issues.
Our customers are usually customers who are going to be there for the long term. They're prepared to make an investment and they want that investment to be a long-term investment. So they're looking for good warranties. Without a doubt, the importance of choosing quality has been seen by the departure from the industry of players who do big flashy marketing exercises, put in cheap product, and then are no longer there to service their warranties. We have many of those customers coming to us looking to rectify the problems. So I think the consumers are starting to become more and more aware of those particular types of operations out there, and are conscious that they want to choose quality. So they're looking for good warranties.
We have a 25 year warranty on our panels, a 10 year warranty on our micro-inverters, and our install is warranted for 10 years as well. Our customers expect a good long-term warranty, but look a warranty is really just a backup. At the end of the day, we speak from experience and the amount of issues that we have with our product, because we use premium quality product, is negligible.
Why is it important to avoid low quality solar power systems with poor warranties?
