The solar work we're doing at the moment is again a lot of maintenance. And that maintenance can be as simple as replacing a faulty inverter or more detailed in replacing a whole system that has been installed by some dodgy out-of-towner that just comes in, rushes through the job and leaves. Those types of installations are starting to fail more and more and we're removing a lot of faulty dodgy panels from roofs and we're installing newer top quality panels.
Unfortunately it's sad to see that people are getting sucked in by dodgy sales people that sometimes they don't even show up on the job. We've got a quote against that a lot of the time and it's hard to compete with that but we want people to know the truth. With higher quality products you typically get a better output. It comes back to the same old thing you know you pay for what you get and if you're going to buy something cheap and nasty you're going to get a cheap and nasty life out of it. And if you're going to buy quality product you're going to get a quality life out of it.
So there's lots of reasons to avoid cheap and nasty solar. The system underperforming is one. The system failing completely is another. Your house burning down is another one. And you're basically throwing your money away. Like, your system might perform to a certain standard for a short period of time if you're lucky. Whereas if you go for a high quality product that you know you can rely on, you can sleep at night.
Why should you avoid cheap and nasty solar power companies?
