I'm Thor from DAS Electrical and we're actually at my place here in Blackmore, Northern territory. Just the rural lifestyle, two types of climates in Darwin here, especially the rural area. There's there's hot and then there's really hot. But also we obviously get the nice, beautiful wet season. So obviously once the rains come, everything greens up, it looks absolutely beautiful. We've just done a full 90 day period with the solar in place, our outgoings were about $500, and we've netted $314 on top. So that's a $314 cash back once we submit all our forms to the local power authority. We just thought about capitalising obviously on the environment, the sunlight, the sun beaming down on us every single day. There's not a cloud in the sky, the opportunity was just too great, the local NT government and the power authorities allow us to obviously have a one for one tariff. So it's an absolute, no brainer. So, this is what we've done, we've gone with solar, it's a great investment opportunity.

Throughout my time in the territory running a business, there's been a lot of people come and go. And there's been a lot of influence from down south infiltrating into the local market. I've found that by sticking with the local installers, it's a great peace of mind. You're knowing who you're dealing with, there's a great reputation. Reputation is everything here in the Northern territory. I believe the warranty is everything, you get what you pay for. Outsourcing to non-local installers, there's a great risk that they could just close the door any time and walk away with your money, and poof goes the warranty up in smoke.
