- In 2005, we started doing air conditioning, and 2010, we started with the solar. We've been specialising in energy efficient houses, and packages that will provide the customer with solar and air conditioning to help reduce their energy bills. So, we're trying to achieve a energy efficient outcome for our customers. We look at the house as a whole and offer our recommendations on the air conditioning and the solar, as a package or either one or the other, just to try and minimize the customer's energy usage. We have a broad customer base, we do a lot of building work, the apartments and townhouses, multi-story, and we also do a lot of residential moms and dads, and we also do some work for the architects, as well. So, we've been a preferred contractor for solar and air conditioning for a couple of architects in SA now for the last couple years.
- The payback for solar is not a quick thing, so it is a number of years that they have to work, and work optimally, for the payback to be there. It is important that there is a good balance between the quality of the panels, the quality of all of the hardware, of the inverter, and of the battery, and that needs to balance with the economics.
- Adding a higher-efficiency panel, you can put more panels on your roof. So, it's allowing you to squeeze the biggest system possible onto that roof base. It makes sense to go with a LG panel with the higher efficiency. You're reducing your costs and helping the environment at the same time, which is a win/win for everyone.
- And Matthew was really flexible in experimenting with the options that were available, so he was really very, very good, very, very pleased with installation. And LG's a reliable, good quality manufacturer. So, I'd rather pay extra to get good quality panels, rather than have something less expensive that goes to landfill in five years time.
- [Mark] Personally believe that if you go with a quality system, which is going to be on your roof with long warranties, got long warranties on the panel, you've got long warranties on the inverter. That you've got guarantees, you're using reputable companies, the installation and for the materials.
- I could certainly recommend LG, the panels are beautiful, not one of them has caused me a problem, and it all matches up to the electricity provider that I sell the excess solar to, so everything adds up.
- We haven't had one single LG panel fail on us since 2012, which says a lot for the panel.
- We like design aesthetic, and we'd had one LG TV we bought a long time ago, and we love that. So, I guess it's just familiarity with the brand as being reliable and of high quality, and good value for money in that, as well.
- We spend time with customer, looking to their system as a whole and look at their individual circumstances to make recommendations which could help in their energy consumption. They should be looking at their return on investment of the system over the 25-year period of the warranty. With the LG Panel and the 25-year product warranty, guaranteeing yourself the next 25 years that this panel is going to be on your roof. So, it's a long-term investment, you might as well do it once, do it properly.
- An LG Partner has to have good design services, good advice, good customer service, uses excellent equipment. In the long run, gives long-term warranty support, and is responsive to customers' inquiries. We're a big brand, we cannot afford people carrying our brand who do not do the right thing by the customer. So, we only choose the very best.
Why should you think about the holistic energy profile of a property if you're installing solar?
